A career writer who started right out of college as a reporter for Newsday, Harriet Pike has had a varied career.  She has worked for several publications as a journalist and managing editor. Her portfolio includes travel and humor articles for the New York Times and the New York Daily News. After a stint in state legislature publicity, she managed a communications office for a major New York City non-profit before turning to fiction writing.  A transplanted New Yorker, she now lives in Southern California.
